This is a 10 week course, run on a Monday evening, which will combine demonstrations, essential knowledge and opportunities for skill development/practice.
This unit is a recognised qualification through City & Guilds and is ideal for those who already hold an NVQ Level 2 ladies qualification or are working in a hair salon and want to increase their client base by offering Barbering techniques.
Methods of assessment could include: observation of performance, questioning and knowledge assessments, with both online e-assessment and paper tests.
Learners will be provided with a realistic working environment where they can develop their knowledge and practice their skills.
The qualification is likely to call for a variety of assessment methods and the national occupational standards define what is to be assessed.

Cut hair using basic techniques and clippers
